Welcome to the 2016-17 school year!
The elementary staff would like to thank the LCWM parents and community for their overwhelming support of our building referendum.  The project is complete and it looks beautiful. Thanks to your support our school district will be able to continue to provide our students with a safe learning environment that continues to keep class sizes low and offers many educational opportunities. LCWM Elementary's current preschool-5th grade elementary school enrollment is approximately 500 students. If you would ever like a tour of our building, especially the new gymnasium and preschool classroooms, call the office at 507.726.2320.

We hope you find the information contained on our website useful. You will find important dates for school, late breaking announcements and general information that you can reference when you have a question.

At LCWM Elementary, we strive to maintain a safe environment that supports all students with the goal of creating a conducive environment for all students to achieve at high levels. Our elementary staff is committed to the district strategic plan's core beliefs and principles which include:

Mission: Educating for Tomorrow’s World

Core Values: The core values of respect, honesty, integrity, and responsibility will guide the mission and vision of LCWM.

Building relationships with students and families is greatly valued. We believe that social and emotional learning is as important as academic learning. We understand that when students are emotionally stable, learning is most likely maximized.  LCWM Elementary is learning community where all the staff members (teachers, teaching assistants, clerical staff, custodians, cooks, etc.) share a sense of collective responsibility when it comes to the well-being of every child. I am proud to inform you that our staff members are hard-working, caring, and dedicated; the staff is committed to a strong educational program for all children.

We value your partnership and support. During the school year we will continue to ask you to be an essential partner in your child's education. Again, if you have any questions or would like a tour, please feel free to contact me at (507) 726-2320 or by e-mail at: dbeert@isd2071.k12.mn.us.
